Client: Kingston City Council
Type: Playspace
The existing playground at Bald Hill Reserve was identified as part of the Council’s Playground Strategy as requiring replacement. Urban Initiatives designed an entirely custom built accessible structure based around a tree house theme.
Three large raised tree houses are linked by bridges of varying challenge. A creek bed and sandpit provide the opportunity for play with natural materials, and art elements including chainsaw carved wombats and kangaroos enhance the playspace. The space is completed with pathworks, planting, seats and a shelter.
