Buckingham Avenue

This project commenced with a public art and landscape design brief aimed at producing improvements for the northern section of Buckingham Avenue, Springvale. Working with public artist Patti Wong and consulting with City of Greater Dandenong Council and the community an agreed plan was developed including possible future improvements beyond the study area.

The 2002 Buckingham Avenue concept design achieved ‘Pride of Place’ funding for construction during the 2004/5 financial year.

Further master-planning has considered street design of the entire shopping centre and other future gateways.

Stage 1 has been documented for construction during 2005. It has a contract value in the order of $600,000.
