Yan Zhao - Landscape Architect

Since joining Urban Initiatives in 2010, Yan has worked on a range of public projects from concept design to construction documentation.

She has strong interests in public open space improvement and incremental design approaches. She works on design and documentation at various scales with our senior staff to investigate and challenge different construction solutions.

Before joining Urban Initiatives, Yan worked as Graduate Architect and Urban Designer in public and private practices both in China and Australia to develop skills in integrating architectural design with landscape elements. Yan also has gained extensive experience in producing and visualising Activity Centre Policy Publication, VIC; Benchmarking Urban Renewal Projects, Geelong and several P.P.P projects.

Besides work, Yan is interested in photography and graphics.
