Bendigo Residential Accommodation

Urban Initiatives was engaged to complete landscape components of the town planning permit application and design of the hard and soft landscape works for Bendigo Residential Accommodation. The Accommodation comprised 10 one-to-three-storey residential buildings for interns and visiting health professionals. Public landscape spaces are provided on podium level and on-grade, as well as smaller private courtyards or balconies.

Pursuing high-quality, affordable and sustainable solutions was the key design aspiration for all project consultants. Urban Initiatives researched suitable sustainable products and technologies for use in the project. The podium level landscape features a combination of hard paving, grassing, small trees and planting beds – all on a fully waterproofed and free-draining base.
